Matera as an open urban center:
the project takes inspiration from the natural conformation of the Sassi: a strong and united residential nucleus carved into the stone, in which each building harmoniously shapes the city landscape. Windows and doors interrupt the continuity of the stone, as a sign of human presence in dialogue with the nature, open to welcome citizens and visitors gathering in the city. Houses openings are the main graphic elements, represented through geometric shapes, lighten up thanks to silver and gold finishes.
